BITS Caused Trouble – Try Backup Repair

A Solution for the Recovery of BKF Files from Corrupted NTBackup Due to Concurrent Backup Creation with BITS Running

When you create your backup along with the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) running simultaneously then it causes a problem for you. Because of the BITS running at the same time, your Backup Files (BKF) can become unusable, leaving you nullified with no files in the backup. An MS backup repair is the solution in such a case.

When you try to do backup creation and unknowingly BITS is running concurrently then after you complete the backup, when you open any bkf file, an error message will come which will be a warning that unable to open the file. The reason will be that the process not able to get access to the file because of it being used by another program. So, in short you backup will not be completed and you will not be able to open/restore bkf files from NTBackup. The only option left with you will be the recovery of bkf files using a bkf repair software.

Technically looking at it, BITS uses some .dat files and while running it locks these files and because of which NTBackup.exe could not take the backup of these files. And so, backup remains incomplete and thus making it impossible for you to restore or open the files in NTBackup. BKF recovery through a software is your only resort, which is not very complicated or tough. SysTools provide the BKF Repair software at a minuscule price of just $89 USD for a personal license. Also, the purchase process is not very messy; you get the software easily after ordering it online.
